It's been a while

It is 7:18 PM Friday Evening. Long day, mostly long from grading Nietzsche Papers, was brain fried around 5:00, stopped to do a restorative sequence, which really took me a while to sink into, but by the end of savasana I did feel truly restored.

A lot has been going on, that coupled with a minor computer mishap (broke the LCD panel on the computer up in New York) and with the end of semester millions of things to do, I haven't had much time where I felt like sitting down and blogging.

Let's see, since last I wrote, I went to New York. Jeff came with me and that was a lot of fun. It was great to go to the Institute as always. I attended Carrie Owerko's Level IV class on Thursday, Brook Meyer's Level III on Friday, the sutra study group Friday and Carrie's Level II class on Sunday. Since Jeff is an Anusara yogi, we also went to check out Vira Yoga. We went to three classes there and it was very interesting seeing John's method with different teachers. Mostly, my engagement with Anusara is via Christina and I think because I know her so well, I don't really see the method of Anusara as clearly as when another teacher presents it. More on that on the teaching blog.

Aside from Yoga, James and I talked about Plato's Agent some. Had great Burmese food with him one night. Saw my student Natalie and it was great to touch base with her. She treated us to brunch at my now favorite restaurant Lure. The have the best macaroni and cheese in the world. Also ate a good bit of pizza and procured the most excellent chocolate truffles at La Maison du Chocolat. Yummy.

This past week in Waco I've been busy with teaching, meetings, and grading. I am definitely ready for the semester to be over.

The past couple days in Austin highlights include: taking CT's classes, getting a manicure and pedicure, lunch at Boudin Creek Coffeehouse with Devon and hanging out with Jeff.
